Call for Submissions

DEADLINE: April 1st, 2024 

 

Please make sure your proposal includes the following:
 

Biographical Information – Tell us a little about yourself, your company, and/or a brief synopsis of your artistic career, history, style, and output.

Project Information – Please provide a completed copy of the script if applicable or an outline or thorough description of the project if no script exists. Describe how it relates to your or your company’s artistic mission, as well as what you hope to achieve.

A History of the Piece – Please provide a brief description of this project’s development and previous production history.

Supplemental Materials – Please provide any supplemental materials including but not limited to set, costume, and sound design elements; marketing materials from previous productions, or other materials that might help a selection committee better understand or appreciate the scope and vision of your piece.

Running Time – Please provide an approximate expected run time for your piece.

Atmospheric Elements – Does your piece contain any of the following: 

Material Unsuited for Children 

Nudity 

Animals 

Pyrotechnics (including candles /open flames) 

Firearms 

Food/Drink 

Stage Blood 

Other Atmospheric Effects

 

The 2024 Festival of Independent Theatres will begin technical rehearsals on July 22nd, 2024 and is expected to run Aug. 1st-17th, with a possible one-week extension. (Through August 24, 2024.) Please list any and all conflicts you or your company may have during this time period (7/22/24 through 8/24/24.) The festival will be held at T3, 2688 LaClede Street.  Suite 120. Dallas, TX. 75201.

Finally, please be sure your submission contains the contact information (name, email address, phone number) of AT LEAST TWO organizational representatives. (If you are submitting as an individual artist, please provide your contact information, along with the contact information of a secondary individual who would be able to reach you.)
